I "found" this wonderful AVM Site 1yr & 3mths ago which was 1 year after my brain surgery. Then our great friend Tony was the first person to "welcome" me and to tell me about the Oz & NZ group which I then joined. Thank God, Ben, Jazsi & Tony for this, as here, in our group, I have found some amazing people; including some "special" friends which I will not mention in case I leave someone out & I'd hate to do that! The point is that I have met, about 12mths ago, a truly beautiful lady who I am honoured to call my "bestest". Again, it was Tony who told me about this lady and when I first met her in person I just knew that she would be 'special'! She has been with me through my daily life, my marriage break-up, my leaving home pain, my seizures, absolutely everything! We have coffee together regularly, had our Gold Coast 'Meet' together, and recently, she has even gone & bought me a washing machine that will fit into my 'little' studio which is not easy, as it had to be under 60cm to fit, so she has been looking for this for quite some time. Her wonderful husband is going to bring it to my place & fit it in for me.
The last 2 weeks, I have had an awful time with bronchitis, drama & harassment from my too be ex-husband's 2nd ex-wife and she has called me, left me messages to make sure I am ok and today, she came to see me, unannounced, & brought me a lovely coffee, magazines & beautiful flowers!, which really cheered me up so much. My friend is selfless, so supportive, thoughtfull and just amazingly beautifull. Thank You Tony for introducing me to my "bestest" friend & Angel...Judy Cleary...I love you Jude!! XXXX

Thank you Lesley for your beautiful words. It is my pleasure to be your friend, I am so glad our wonderful Tony introduced us through this site. I'll be by your side for as long as you'll have me, In my eyes that's what friends do. As for the washing machine....anything to may your life that little bit easier as I know very well how much you battle with living with seizures & not being able to drive your beloved "Mary". Every little bit helps... beside, I enjoy your laughter & our long chats, & walks along the waterside. So back at ya my lovely...I love you too!!! Hugs.....X X X X
beautiful lesley you have suvh a dear friend in judy and actions speak louder than words your love for each other is priceless shane crotty xo
Its weird getting 'thanks' for doing what we 'all' do for each other on here. I was lucky to stumble onto this site very early in the piece, and also lucky with what I had to deal with. Our fantastic subgroup has taught me that AVMers, wherever they are in their journey, genuinely care for and love their fellow AVMers. Jaszi, who I consider to be like a daughter, is the young lady who epitomises the 'support and AVM love' Lesley refers to. If I have brought any two of you together, and helped foster friendship, I am pleased, but don't thank me - thank all the wonderful friends i have on here, who give me strength, support and love - everyday.
Oh, and for you quiet ones - get out there and 'phone a friend'!
So lovely to read your post Judy is a lovely lady for helping you like that but I also know Judy wouldn't have it any other way! As would anyone of us xxxx it's the strength of what we have here that's fantastic in life xx see you soon my friends! <3

Thank you Leona for your reply and I am so glad you are getting better! Yes, this site & our group are so important to me too. I truly don't know what I would do without our "Survivors".
I mentioned Judy in particular as we live close to each other and we just "clicked" when Tony told me about Judy & we met. As I am not permitted to drive re: seizures, Judy always comes to see me & we go for coffee, walks, shopping, etc & I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful friend. I love all our AVMers as we have at least one thing in common, we are "Survivors" & we can support each other, help each other with strength & hope.
Please keep in touch Leona and "keep on, keeping on" my friend.

Thank you for everyone's replies!
