Hey all, It has been nearly 6 months since my op and I was just wondering if any one has had trouble with pain in your body after having a craini. I have been having pain that is limiting what I can do, mostly in the shoulders and arms, not just on my weaker side but both sides. It is a consent pain and worse if I try to stretch to much or put my arms up or behind my back or side ways or any where really. Not sleeping very well because lying down it is hard to find a spot that will not hurt. I know that you can get pains in your lower back and leg because of the fluid leaking duing the operation, but just not sure if I should still have that and if the pains in my shoulders and arms are normal or not.
I was having physio, but did not help, at the moment I am having pressure points done and it is help more than physio but is not going away just gets a bit less for a few days then comes back full on; would appreciate it if any one can help

Thanks heaps guys as always

hi dm i had physio for about six months after surgey ,and still had slight left side weaknes, the things which semed to help were accupunter and hydro therapy swiming spa ,but your nerves and musles are all connected, one whing that helped was a hot real hot water bottle as you can moce it around, and not like anti inflamsdont hurt your stomach, hope this helps shane crotty

Hi DM,like a few others on here I gained some weight after the crani and that was primarily the cause of a few aches and pains. My chiropractor was not keen to go anywhere near the head for a while but he did get me into doing more work on my arms legs back etc.
Shane makes sense with natural remedies, and I'm going to take his advise onboard.
Look for positives, DM, and my best wishes to you.

Hi DM, I have had aches & pains since surgery (July 2009) especially on my right side, the weak side. Like the others, I have had different therapy but now with the warmer weather, I am finding that a daily swim is really helping me a lot. I am not a strong swimmer but excercising in water is much better and no where as painful. I hope this helps, take care!

thanks guys, it sounds like it is the norm so that's ok, I will work out how to put up with it.
thanks for your answers
