Who, out there has an AVM in the brain & lives in Chicago??

What I would like to know is: Are there any other people in Chicago like me????????My AVM is in the Caudate Nucleus of my brain, bleeds into the third ventricle & the basal ganglia . It is inoperable because of it's location.

We are in Michigan but my now 6 year old was born with AVM's on left eyelid and behind left eye. We've dealt with the bleeds and I send out hugs about the location as that's all I know to. To Kim....Have you went to U of M? They have a program that helps when you don't have insurance and have the most awesome surgeons. We have several there and 4 departments came together for the removal of the bulk of the AVM. They did a crainiotomy on Sean when he was 4 and removed 85% of the tumor with the remaining portion being watch but it hasn't grown in the interior in a year and a half, the exterior started to grow again but not a lot and we've done a laser surgery to keep it down.
