Hi - Now that the major "love" holidays are in the past, it's probably a good time on focusing on getting a life...more like a love-life.
Not that I'm totally gung-ho on this idea, I feel that I have to do it. Does anyone have tips on cyber-dating and real-life dating?

I really wish I had some poignant advice but I don't. Since I've been single for 10 years, never been married, and have no children; I'm the least qualified to give dating advice; but since my diagnosis in April of 2011 I have wondered what dating would be like. Since you posed the question it got me to thinking; how do I in good conscious start a relationship with a beautiful woman without telling her I have a ticking time bomb in my head? And exactly how would I do that?
I'm in full support of you getting back into the swing of things. The AVM community can always use ambassador's like yourself and others interacting with the Non-AVM community; please keep us posted on your progress.

I totally agree and was a little more than shocked when I emailed my "True Hollywood Confession" to a guy that "I met" on match about my AVM-life - and he didn't seem to mind. I'm trying to move through the whole low self-esteem thing, but I think that I need some tips from the veterans.
Permalink Reply by Rich on February 22, 2012 at 10:45am I kinda did ok for dating when i was a kid, but when i had my second bleed and lost the power of speech, yeah dating wasnt really worth while for a while. But after finally going for it, my speech was reasonably good enough to keep a half decent conversation going, i did a lot of dating, real life from web agency types. And one day i met my super wife! So yes, i would go for it. I had some hit and miss's before i met someone i really cared for, and it took me many years to give me the courage to do it all, but was well worth the while! :)
